Peace in Medicine is currently looking for outstanding security
personnel for full time customer service/security position(s).
These positions are ones of high visibility, and are the central
contact point for all security activity. Because of this,
persons seeking the position(s) should have experience in
both security and customer service. Further they should be
personable, professional, and have the ability to reason out
solutions to problems as well as implement policy. Before
applying, applicant should be fully aware of Peace in Medicine’s
mission and its role in the community.
Job Description:
- The Host will act as greeter and welcome all patient
and vendors, as well as staff and community
- Checks person(s) entering the building for a valid membership
ID
- Assist with member registration as necessary
- Works special events as needed
- Communicates with staff to maximize efficiency
- Continuously patrol or guard area or premises
- Monitor and authorize entry or exit of individuals
- Enforce laws, ordinances, or regulations
- Explain rules, policies or regulations
- Basic janitorial and maintenance duties
Requirements:
- The ability to calmly deescalate situations
- Previous customer service experience required
- A valid California Guard Card (training may be provided)
- A clean criminal record
- A High School Diploma or GED
- The ability to clearly speak, read and write English; bilingual
- Spanish speaker desirable
- A friendly personality, professional and confident demeanor
- Professional appearance with reliable and timely attendance
- The ability to understand and follow company policies, procedures,
safety and emergency rules, plans and procedures
- The ability to handle routine as well as stressful situations
- The ability to work with others including local police staff
and property management personnel
- The ability to communicate on radio and coordinate others
activities
- The ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- The ability to work without immediate, direct supervision
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Exceptional communication, customer service and people skills.
- Ability to stand for up to 6 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
Prior Security Guard experience not required
FULL TIME: Tue-Sat: rotating hours each day
Hourly Rate: $12.00-$14.00/hour DOE – Benefits offered
after initial period of review and performance
